Slideshows

"The Other Afghanistan" - A lecutre about the Wakhan Corridor, area saved from recent Afghan wars, the Soviets, the mujahedeen and the Taliban. It deals with the region history (both recent and ancient) and culture of the inhabitant. The backbone of the story is my trip to the Wakhan taken in summer of 2009.

"Sibierian Spirits - Mount Belukha" - a photo-based story of an attempt undertaken in Feburay 2010 of making the first Polish winter ascent of the highest peak of Siberia - Mount Belukha (4506 m n.p.m.). Trek through the taiga and temperatures falling below -40*C (-56*F) were only some of the obstacles. The story is interwoven with rich details about local beliefes, in which Mount Belukha - the home of powerful spirits - plays a significant role.
